Lost Songs of Tipperary

An official book launch for “Lost Songs of Tipperary” by Bill O’Brien will be taking place in Brú Ború on Friday 8th May @ 8pm. Free Entry. No booking required. This publication of Tipperary songs is the work of Bill O’Brien, a passionate student of song and the history associated with their origin. This collection includes some still sung at sessions around the country and beyond, and many more who have become obscured by time and not heard but rarely if at all. This book is a welcome addition to any library of song and I highly recommend it to readers and lovers of our song tradition. Bill is a welcomed and long time regular at our Thursday night sessions and always has something fascinating to bring be it a story, a poem or an old song he has found and is researching.
